EXTRA LARGE GAINEY PLANTER
The Gainey Planter is a classic example of mid-century modern design that was popular in the 1950s and 1960s. It was first introduced by the Gainey Ceramics Company in La Verne, California in the 1940s and quickly became an iconic piece of American design.
Weighs 35 pounds super strong and sturdy.
The planter is made from glazed ceramic and has a simple, geometric shape that is both elegant and understated. This planter is in Gainey's typical Ecru / Off white color, it has cylindrical body with a flared rim and a slightly tapered base. There is a slight glazing crackle, typical of a piece this age.

What sets the Gainey Planter apart from other mid-century designs is its versatility. It can be used indoors or outdoors, and is suitable for a wide range of plants and flowers, from succulents and cacti to ferns and orchids. The planter is also well-suited to a variety of decorating styles, from modern minimalist to bohemian eclectic.
